August 02, 2020 | Matt Ware
Everyone goes through wilderness seasons in their lives, but MOSES was a wilderness expert! From 40 years alone in one wilderness to 40 years of leading Israel through another, his story shows us the power of the journey through the wilderness; it shapes us, develops us and forms us into the people God has called us to be. A look at the life of MOSES reveals that the wilderness isn’t something we just endure; it’s something we can embrace!
Wells in the Wilderness
John 7:37-39a (NKJV) Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” 39 By this he meant the Spirit.
John 14:16-17 (ESV) I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth … You know him, for he dwells WITH you and will be IN you.
Numbers 21:16-18 (ESV) And from there they continued to Beer; that is the well of which the Lord said to Moses, “Gather the people together, so that I may give them water.” 17 Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well!—Sing to it!—18 the well that the princes made, that the nobles of the people dug.

1 John 2:15-16 (ESV) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
John 4:14 (ESV) whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
