There is no greater force to shape your life than your mind. Proverbs 23:7 says “As a man thinks, so is he.” And Craig Groeschel states: “your life is always moving in the direction of your strongest thoughts.” The life you have is a result of the thoughts you think … you can choose how you think! You are not a victim of your thought patterns; your mind can be renewed and your heart can be transformed. If you’ll change your mind, you can change your life! In this series, we’ll explore 4 key ideas to changing how we think. These concepts are inspired by the book “Winning the War in Your Mind” by Craig Groeschel.

The Rejoice Principle

Mindset

Romans 12:2 (ESV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6 (NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Prayer

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

James 4:2 (NKJV) you do not have because you do not ask.

Praise

Philippians 4:6 (NIV) in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. And a few verses earlier, he said …

Philippians 4:4 (NIV) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Acts 16:22-25 (ESV) The crowd joined in attacking them, and the magistrates tore the garments off them and gave orders to beat them with rods. 23 And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. 24 Having received this order, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. 25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

The Rejoice Principle

Psalm 103:1 (ESV) Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!

Psalm 34:3 (ESV) magnify the Lord with me

The Rejoice Principle

1. Praise God for the who, not the what

2. Praise God before the breakthrough

3. Praise God and then He comes through

Acts 16:26 (NLT) Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
