1. Pray

James 4:8 (ESV) Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

Prayer fuels your faith

John 15:5 (ESV) I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Prayer stills your soul

Psalm 131:2 (ESV) I have calmed and quieted my soul

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Prayer does what you can’t do

James 4:2 (NIV) You do not have because you do not ask 2. Fast

Fasting gets you realigned

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (ESV) Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fasting gets you ready

Matthew 17:21 (NKJV) this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

3. Read the Bible

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Bible tells you what God thinks

John 3:16-17 (ESV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

The Bible tells you how to live

Psalm 119:105 (ESV) Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

4. Go to church

Hebrews 10:25 (TPT) This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing, because we need each other! In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward. Church is where you find people

Church is where you find presence

Matthew 18:20 (NKJV) For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
