American Christians are increasingly conflicted as to what culture they identify with—the culture of the world or the culture of the Kingdom. After a 6 month hiatus from the regular gathering of the church, this clash of cultures is more evident now than ever. This series leads people toward a greater understanding of 6 key distinctives of the culture of God’s Kingdom and how to navigate the CULTURE WARS of 2020.

Growth

Isaiah 9:6-7 (ESV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.

1. Pray for growth

1 Chronicles 4:10 (ESV) Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

2. Work for growth

3. Risk for growth

1 Samuel 14:6 (ESV) Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of (the Philistines). It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.”

4. Believe for growth

Matthew 16:18 (ESV) I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
