Genesis 50:20a (ESV) As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…

Romans 8:28 (ESV) …for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (ESV) Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

John 16:33 (ESV) …In this world you will have tribulation

Ecclesiastes 4:10b …But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

Proverbs 17:17 (ESV) A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

Psalms 133:1 (NLT) How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!

Philippians 2:4 (ESV) Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Mark 14:32-34 (ESV) And they went to a place called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed and troubled. 34 And he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch.”

1. Find them

Psalms 133:1 (ESV) Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

Mark 1:17 (ESV) And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

2. Build them

Job 2:11-13 (ESV) Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that had come upon him, they came each from his own place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. They made an appointment together to come to show him sympathy and comfort him. 12 And when they saw him from a distance, they did not recognize him. And they raised their voices and wept, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads toward heaven. 13 And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great.

3. Keep them

Matthew 16:23 (ESV) But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”

Ephesians 4:32 (ESV) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Galatians 6:2 (ESV) Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
