God never created people to be alone, or to live life apart from others. With this in mind, Marriage Builders focuses on ways to connect couples—to each other as husband and wife and to other couples in order to build community. Here is how we do that at Victory:
Marriage Enrichment Classes
Enrichment #101 - focuses on building a marriage on the foundation of Jesus Christ.
Enrichment #201 - is a follow up class to #101 that teaches couples to focus on finding and completing the purpose God has for them. This class assists couples with finding a way to serve together in the church and/or the community.
Marriage Night Out is a time we hold every other month where couples can get together to build relationships and enjoy fun activities (miniature golf, amazing race, Christmas party). These events occur on the 2nd Saturday night of the months of February, April, June, August, October, & December.
Fireproof Group is a 6-week course that focuses on the movie Fireproof as a way to bring strength and healing to marriages. These courses are offered multiple times per year both at the church and also at small groups in the community.
Victory Church is a National Association of Marriage Enhancement (NAME) Center. We provide pre-marital and marital counseling to couples at no cost. This is brief biblical counseling that helps couples back on the path God would want them on. Pre-marital counseling is provided to couples who are looking to get married at Victory Church.
This helps set the stage for having a covenant marriage. Couples can receive counseling for support, guidance and direction for their marriages and to help restore the couple to the covenant they made on their wedding day.
God has a model for marriage best described in the book of Genesis. God created man and woman in his image to become one flesh, naked and unashamed before each other and before God. Many couples battle with being covered and ashamed in front of each other and spend time hiding from God. This is a weekend to get away as couples to break free of all the things couples use to cover the areas they feel condemned by. It is also a time for God to bring breakthroughs in the areas of shame and guilt.
